Laser Skin Resurfacing

Laser skin resurfacing is an effective alternative to facial plastic surgery for patients concerned about wrinkles, scars, sun damage, and uneven skin texture. Colorado cosmetic surgery practices offer various laser skin resurfacing treatments, but few can match the results produced by the Sciton Contour TRL™. The Contour TRL is widely regarded as the safest, most effective, and versatile laser available for minimizing deep wrinkles, acne scars, and sun damage.

At Rejuvenate MedSpa, we use laser skin resurfacing treatments in Denver to precisely target and effectively treat the surface, middle, and deep dermal levels of your skin. This really is skin rejuvenation at its finest.

What Is the Contour TRL Laser?

In the past couple of decades, laser skin resurfacing emerged as the most effective way to treat a wide variety of conditions by replacing aging, damaged skin with refreshed, healthy skin. What sets the Contour TRL resurfacing laser apart from other resurfacing lasers is its technology that gives the provider precise control of the treatment’s depth. The Contour TRL combines ablative, non-fractional laser technology with fractional energy, enabling us to tailor the treatment to each patient’s specific needs.

The benefits of the Contour TRL as compared to other laser skin resurfacing treatments include:

  • More precise treatment
  • Safer on face and body
  • Suitable for more skin types
  • Shorter recovery times
  • Consistent, predictable results

Laser treatments trigger the body’s natural healing process, stimulating the growth of new collagen and healthy skin cells to improve the skin’s texture and appearance. Contour TRL can be used to treat:

  • Deep wrinkles (including around the mouth and eyes)
  • Poor skin tone and texture
  • Scars
  • Sun damage
  • Actinic keratoses (pre-cancerous lesions)

Contour TRL is primarily used to treat the face and neck but can improve the skin’s texture on other areas of the body. To learn more about how Contour TRL can improve concerns such as acne scarring, check out our Rejuvenate MedSpa website.

Contour TRL Treatment Options

We can customize our approach based on the skin condition being treated and the patient’s goals. The treatment options include:

MicroLaserPeel®: This is a light resurfacing procedure for the skin’s surface layer (epidermis) that creates smoother texture and even tone and restores a youthful glow. It requires only minimal downtime.

ProFractional Therapy™: To treat the dermal tissue below the skin’s surface layer, the laser creates micro-channels without damaging surrounding skin. This stimulates new collagen growth without requiring significant downtime.

Deep Resurfacing: This is a more aggressive procedure that erases wrinkles, pigmented lesions and other skin irregularities in the epidermis and dermis.

What Happens After a Contour TRL Treatment?

The recovery following your procedure depends on the depth of the treatment. Patients can expect 3 to 4 days of recovery time for shallow procedures, and 5 to 7 days for deeper ones. The skin will improve gradually over the 4 to 6 months following treatment.

We recommend scheduling deeper Contour TRL resurfacing treatments at least 7 to 10 days prior to any important social events. Ask your treatment provider for a more specific time frame.

Our HALO hybrid laser is another skin resurfacing option we offer at our Denver-area and Colorado Springs med spa locations. HALO’s unique hybrid technology delivers laser energy to both the epidermis and dermis in a single pass.
