Halo™ Hybrid Fractional Laser
Your skin isn’t the same as your friend’s skin. Or the skin of your co-workers. The natural aging process and exposure to the sun’s harmful rays affect everyone’s skin differently, and with the Halo laser, we can customize treatments to meet the specific needs of each patient. As the world’s first hybrid fractional laser, Halo represents a true breakthrough in laser skin resurfacing for patients in the Denver, Colorado, area with minimal downtime.
What Is a Halo Laser Treatment?
Halo is a hybrid fractional laser with 2 different laser wavelengths delivered simultaneously that can treat the skin’s surface as well as its deeper layers in a single pass over the treatment area. As a fractional laser, Halo delivers pinpoint beams of energy that create microscopic channels without damaging the surrounding skin. This process stimulates the development of new collagen and tissue by triggering the body’s natural healing process. It typically takes healthy tissue about 1 to 3 months to appear after your first Halo treatment, although you’ll see early results starting in just 1 week.
With Halo, patients don’t have to choose between procedures that produce great results but require significant downtime or treatments with limited recovery time but less optimal outcomes. Instead, you can get excellent results with minimal downtime that no other laser treatments can match. Additionally, Halo can be used on the whole body, including the neck, chest, and arms.
Who Is a Good Candidate for Halo Laser Treatments?
Many of our Halo laser treatment patients are concerned about age spots, fine lines, wrinkles, and dull complexions, and they want a procedure that can restore the skin’s glow. Halo also effectively reduces the appearance of scars (including acne scars), treats pigmented lesions, and shrinks enlarged pores.
The benefits of a Halo treatment include:
- More comfortable than traditional fractional resurfacing
- Little downtime, with patients back to work within a couple of days
- No need for occlusive ointments after the procedure
- Noticeable improvement within weeks
How Is a Halo Treatment Performed?
Before beginning the treatment, one of our providers will apply a topical numbing cream to ensure you remain comfortable throughout the procedure. The Halo device itself includes a cooling element that also minimizes discomfort. Once the topical anesthetic takes effect, the provider glides the Halo handpiece evenly over the treatment area. The treatment can take 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the area.
Learn about what to expect after a Halo treatment on our Rejuvenate website.
How Many Treatments Are Needed?
One of the many benefits of the Halo laser is that we can customize treatments to be less or more aggressive so patients can decide how many treatment sessions are necessary. For people who want just 1 or 2 procedures, we use a more aggressive approach. Multiple treatments that are gentler can achieve the same results over time with shorter downtime for each treatment.
How Much Does a Halo Treatment Cost?
Because we customize each Halo hybrid fractional laser procedure, the cost varies depending on the patient’s specific concerns and cosmetic goals. We may recommend a certain number of treatments based on those goals and a patient’s lifestyle (including if time off from work is an issue).
