Inverted Nipple Repair Before & After Case 11339

This is a 56 year old woman who had inverted nipples that didn't look normal. Part of her nipples were pulled in by her milk ducts creating an unusual nipple appearance. This is a very common condition that about 10% of all women have. It commonly occurs during pregnancy. She underwent an inverted nipple repair to evert her nipples and create a more normal projection and shape. She also underwent a breast lift at the same time which is the cause of the scars around her areolae and down the lower pole of the breast. The scar from the inverted nipple repair procedure is not even visible, situated at the base of the nipple. An inverted nipple repair can be performed under local anesthesia or while asleep and takes about one hour to perform.
