Breast Reduction Before & After Case 617

This 30 year-old female sought breast reduction surgery soon after the birth of her second child, since she delivered at an "I" cup!  She claims she had been very large before that, in a 38DDD/E cup a majority of her adult life/since adolescence.  This had naturally led to fairly chronic shoulder pain, bra strap indentations and rashes of her skin, as well as difficulty finding properly fitting clothes.

She wished to stay fairly proportionate to her weight, however, in which case that she would be best served by a formal, inferior-pedicle/Wise pattern (anchor scar) breast reduction to manage her extra skin, and leave her in a D-cup bra size range.  During her reduction, I removed approximately 791 grams of tissue on the right, and 825 grams on the left.  The patient did very well, and, although the scars have widened a bit secondary to the larger size we left her at, the shape has remained fairly constant, and her presenting symptoms have improved remarkably (photos are from 9 months post-op).
