Breast Lift Before & After Case 540

This 25 year-old woman was interested in addressing and correcting the fullness and drooping that had developed in her breasts following her pregnancy. She was 5'7", weighed approximately 125 pounds, and wore a 36 D/E bra size. She wished to remain at least a C cup. I advised the patient that she undergo a "reduction mastopexy", during which a majority of her natural breast tissue is preserved, but a significant lift is performed. This usually requires an "inverted-T" incision to a degree, but since she had a relatively mild case of breast ptosis (or "drooping), and was to have a smaller amount of breast tissue removed (ultimately 190-280 grams), the underside/transverse (inframammary fold) incision could be kept relatively short. Indeed, as these photos (from approximately 6 months post-op) show, the underside scar is barely visible from the side and oblique views, and this patient was very happy with her excellent results.
