Breast Implant Revision Before & After Case 626

This 47 year-old female from the Chicago area had had 275cc textured saline implants placed in the submuscular position 6 years earlier.  The right side had already ruptured and had been replaced with a smooth round implant 2 years prior, and now she presented with left sided rupture (a problem with older-generation textured implants). 

Other than recommending implant replacement (of course), I also advised the patient that she would benefit from a limited mastopexy on either side to address her progressive drooping and better position the nipple centrally.  This was performed under light general anesthesia as an outpatient, and even though the same size implant was replaced, both sides look fuller and more youthful due to the mastopexies (photos are from approximately 3 months post-op).
