Breast Implant Revision Before & After Case 11438

This is 45 year old woman who underwent a breast augmentation and "crescent" lift by another surgeon. She presented to Dr. Vath with complaints about her large areolae and unattractive breast shape. As is obvious from these before pictures, a crescent lift does not help a sagging breast and neither does an implant. While breast implants will yield more upper fullness, they do nothing to lift the sagging breasts and create a better shape. Dr. Steven Vath perfomed an implant exchange, capsulectomies (removal of scar tissue around implants) and a mastopexy (breast lift). She had 400cc implants removed and 320cc low profile, silicone gel implants placed. The breast lift, despite the scars, is the key to creating a better, more youthful and pretty breast contour. 

Post-operative pictures are from one month after surgery. Her scars will fade considerably over the following year.
