Tummy Tuck Before & After Case 906

This 42 year-old woman presented to me feeling somewhat hopeless about her minimally responsive mid-section area (to exercise), having had 4 children and sustaining several changes characteristic of multiple pregnancies (including lax abdominal muscles and redundant tissues). She had undergone no C-sections or other abdominal surgeries, and had lost at least 40 pounds from her maximal weight during pregnancy (currently in the 200 pound range, standing 5'8", and wearing a size 16 pant)

.I assured her that dramatic changes were possible with a formal abdominoplasty, including excision of a majority of the lower abdominal tissue excess, tightening of the abdominal musculature, rejuvenation of her (own) belly button, and better definition of the waist area in general. Indeed, all of these objectives were achieved in a 3-hour procedure which the patient tolerated quite well (photographs are from approximately 6 months post-op).
