Breast lift surgery, also called mastopexy, can make a dramatic difference in your life, elevating and reshaping your breasts and reviving your confidence.
The Center for Cosmetic Surgery proudly showcases an extensive gallery of before-and-after breast lift photos, each telling a story of transformation and renewed self-image. This post will highlight 4 breast lift cases to illustrate the versatility of the procedure and the variety of concerns it can address.
Breast Lift With Implants
This 53-year-old patient was troubled by sagging and deflated breasts—a common concern for many. Opting for a combined breast lift with augmentation, she achieved a remarkable transformation. The post-procedure photo—taken 3 months after the operation—shows a harmonious blend of lift and volume, achieved by placing silicone implants beneath the chest muscle, complementing the patient’s frame.

Breast Lift Without Implants
This 36-year-old mother experienced a significant loss of breast fullness after breastfeeding. Our surgeon recommended a breast lift, which involved making an anchor-shaped incision, lifting and reshaping the breast tissue, restoring the upper pole fullness of the breasts, elevating the nipples, and removing excess skin. The post-procedure photos show dramatic improvements in symmetry and shape.
Breast Reduction and Lift
Breast reduction and lift procedures are transformative, as seen in the results of this 30-year-old patient. Shown 3 months after surgery in the “after” photo, her results were both cosmetic and functional—significantly alleviating the back, neck, and shoulder pain she’d experienced due to the heaviness of her breasts.
Breast Lift Scars
While scars are part of any breast lift procedure, they’re strategically placed and fade over time, often becoming barely perceptible. Most patients find the scars well worth the results, as one of our patients discusses in a related blog post.
These are the incision and scar patterns associated with breast lift procedures:
- Wise Pattern (Anchor) Mastopexy: This approach is tailored for significant skin removal and reshaping, resulting in the “anchor” scar. With time, these scars blend with the natural skin tone, their visibility fading significantly.
- Vertical (Lollipop) Mastopexy: Suitable for smaller breasts, particularly when combined with implants, this technique leaves a “lollipop” scar. At The Center for Cosmetic Surgery, we often perform a modified version, which yields a less conspicuous scar while still achieving a beautiful breast shape.
- Circumareolar or Benelli (Doughnut) Mastopexy: This method primarily corrects the areolar position rather than elevating the entire breast and is ideal for patients with minimal sagging. However, it’s not a substitute for more extensive lifts and can sometimes result in breast flattening or scar puckering.
Below are the before-and-after photos of a 51-year-old woman who underwent a vertical mastopexy. The “after” photo was taken 4 months after surgery.
